Tracking included with the New Driver Package

See the journey, not just the destination

A compact tracker works behind the scenes to power live location, journey history and route information in your private Trackerman portal. It has its own managed connectivity, so there is no separate SIM contract to arrange.

Includes professional mobile installation and 12 months of tracking.

You will rarely see the tracker. Here is what you see instead.

The device is concealed during installation and stays that way. What you actually interact with is the portal — so that is what this page shows.

The moments it actually helps

Not "tracking" in the abstract — these three, which tend to happen on a Friday night.

“They’re not back yet.”

Open the map and the car is sitting outside their friend’s house. Nothing is wrong — they have just lost track of time. You know that in about four seconds, without a phone call that lands like a check-up.

“Are they on their way?”

The app shows the vehicle moving, how long it has been going and roughly where it is. You can see they are ten minutes away and get on with your evening instead of watching the window.

“Did they get there?”

Mark the places that matter — home, college, work — and the app keeps a log of when the car arrived and left each one. You can have it email you, or send a notification to your phone, when the car reaches one. So the answer comes to you, and you never had to ask.

None of this needs their phone to be on, charged or with them. It is the car that reports, not the person.

Check the vehicle's latest reported location

Sign in and the map shows where the vehicle last reported from, with its status and speed. A quick look is usually all it takes — no phone call interrupting someone who is driving.

Review completed journeys in context

Each journey is listed with its start and finish, how long it took and the distance covered, with the route drawn on the map. Useful for talking about a long trip afterwards rather than during it.

Trackerman journey history with route and trip details

Replay the route when the detail matters

Route playback walks back through a journey on the map. It is a map-based reconstruction from reported positions, not video, and gaps in mobile or satellite coverage can leave gaps in the trace.

Turn familiar places into useful zones

Mark places that matter — home, college, work — and the portal shows which vehicles are currently in them and how long they have been there.

How it works

  1. Professionally installed and concealed. We fit it out of sight during your installation. We do not publish where it goes, and we will tell the vehicle owner on request.
  2. Reports through managed mobile connectivity. The connectivity is part of the service — no separate SIM contract, no data bill.
  3. Viewed through a private login. You sign in at tracking.trackerman.co.uk on a phone, tablet or computer to see location, journeys and zones.

On security

We do not publish where the tracker is fitted. Keeping it concealed is part of its value.

If a vehicle is stolen, its latest reported location and journey information can provide useful information to share with the police. Always follow police guidance rather than approaching a vehicle yourself.

Questions we get asked

What can I see in the Trackerman portal?

Your private login shows the vehicle's latest reported location on a map, a history of completed journeys with timings and routes, map-based route playback, and any zones you have set up. You sign in at tracking.trackerman.co.uk.

Who can access the tracking data?

The person who holds the account. Trackerman staff can see it only when providing support. Anyone who regularly drives the vehicle should be told the tracker is fitted — we give the driver a card at installation explaining what is recorded.

How long is journey history retained?

Standard retention is 6 months. Our tracking platform currently holds it for up to about 12 months, but rely on 6 months if you ever need a record of a journey. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Is the tracker visible in the car?

No. It is concealed during installation and we do not publish where it goes — keeping it out of sight is part of what makes it worth fitting. We will tell the vehicle owner on request.

Does the customer need a SIM contract?

No. The tracker reports over managed mobile connectivity included in the service, so there is no separate SIM to arrange and no data bill to watch.

What happens after the included 12 months?

Nothing automatic. The New Driver Package includes the first 12 months of tracking; after that you can top up whenever you like from £4.72 a month (£169.98 for 36 months), with no contract and no automatic renewal. You top up at /top-up/ using the email address or telephone number on your account.

Can tracking help if the car is stolen?

It gives the police something concrete to work from. You can see where the vehicle was last reported and play back the route it took to get there, so you can tell them a location and the direction it was heading rather than a description of the car. Share that with the police and keep watching as new positions come in. Always follow police guidance rather than approaching the vehicle yourself.

Is the tracker connected to the dashcam footage?

No, and deliberately so. They are separate systems. The tracker sends location data to your portal; the dashcam records video to its own memory card, which we never receive and cannot view remotely.

Tracking, fitted and included

£250 fully fitted, including the first 12 months of tracking.
